Back to "Normal" after Thanksgiving!

If there is such a thing! The weather has even gotten warmer, which is normal for us this time of year. I do have a mess, however, with all the Christmas decorations pulled out. I wished it was all done so I could show ya'll, but that will have to be for another post. Lots of cleaning going on around it though! Some cooking too! And don't forget the most important thing: crafting! I will show what I've been up to in the photos.

I'm so excited! I just received my Zumba DVD's! They are a Christmas present from Randy. I have done a Zumba dvd workout that I borrowed from a friend in the past, so I decided it was time for my own. After I write this post, I'm going to plug it in. I will let ya'll know how it is. Have any of you ever taken a Zumba class? I can imagine it was a lot of fun! Since the gym is not convenient, and rather costly, I prefer to workout at home. I don't have to worry if I mess up, or not have on the most stylish gym shoes. No one is here to watch me so I can really get into it.

Can ya'll believe Christmas is only a little over two weeks away? Twenty days to be exact! I haven't even bought the first gift! We've got to go shopping for the girls this weekend! Randy loves to get them toys, but they really need some new clothes. Maybe we can get one of each. Have ya'll gotten your shopping done yet?

I have followed some new craft/scrap-booking blogs and I think those ladies are very talented! I enjoy seeing their creations and trying to figure out how to incorporate their ideas into my decorating. It's so much fun watching and listening to them! I am learning so much! I just need to make time to do the things I'm learning about! Is there ever enough time to do things we want, much less things that need to be done?

I'm sure ya'll are enjoying the season as much as I am! And I'm sure ya'll have as nice of weather as we do, no? Stay safe and warm! Until next time, Blessings from Bama!

We had two new visitors this day! They've been here before but it's been a long time.

They had the best time riding in the 'hillbilly' hay wagon!

They were still at it til dark!

You see where they all are! My house is always a mess when the kids are here!

Riley loved her chapstick and swinging!

Looks like Delilah is suspended in air!

A closer look shows how she is propped on the doghouse and a branch.

I don't know why, but I love it when the chickens get out and scratch in the yard.

Guess what's going on here! I'm stiffening felt!

This piece of metal will be an ornament.

The Hug Snug seam binding is so nice to use during the holidays! I'm going to use it on ornaments.

I traced a Dollar Tree ornament and cut it out onto glittered foam and glued it onto a piece of cereal box.

Another handmade ornament.

I'm not happy with the turnout of the candy. I will make another.

  1. I am not much farther ahead than you...I only have a few presents bought. We don't usually put up our tree till about 1 week before Christmas. Delilah is funny! Your ornament crafts look good. I have so much to make yet - I don't know why I don't start earlier.
