Trying to get a new look on my blog!

I have been diligently trying to change the look of my blog! Why did I wait until the Christmas season? I don't know! I will work on the header some more but at a later date. The main thing I want to change is the favicon! I have been trying to find the right photo or theme all week! That is why I haven't written a post until tonight! I think I finally found one; just hope it will work! Change is something I have to make myself do because it's so easy to get comfortable with the way things are. One day, I'd like to do tabs and add the ziplist for recipes! Won't that be a change! Do ya'll like to change the look of your blog at times?

I don't have many photos to share but I do have a few. I am at this very moment shelling some more pecans! When I finish this batch, it will be 25 pounds! I don't know if that will be enough, but that may be all I can get this year. I ordered some seeds and they have already arrived! If I knew winter wasn't coming, I'd put them into the seed starters. But, I will have to wait. Hope ya'll have a great weekend! Blessings from Bama!

Skylar is removing the bad dirt so we can replace it with good dirt.

Randy bent over to pet the other goat and this one jumped off the doghouse onto his back!

  1. Sounds like you have been busy, ...25#'s of pecans! Our pecan trees have not produced well in about 8 years. We hope to have an "expert" look at them this spring, and offer some suggestions!

Your blog always looks nice, but I'm with you. Trying to make some changes to mine, too. It'll probably get more of an overhaul after Christmas when I have more time!

Hope you are having a great weekend, take care! :)

  2. Hi Bama Girl! I like your new look, especially the photos you've chosen for your header. They all represent all the different things you like to do. I am always amazed at what you are able to accomplish!

I think learning new ways to change up my blog has become almost a hobby to me. I never knew much about that kind of thing before blogging and now enjoy 'playing with pictures'... that's what I call it. :)

Those bagged leaves will make GREAT compost for your garden. Hope you're having a great weekend.

    1. Hi Lisa! Thank you! Maybe you can share some tips on blog headers! I just need some more time, so maybe between now and Christmas I'll get the look I want! Yes, those leaves will help tremendously!

  3. It looks very nice. I tend not to changed mine a lot since it is the same on the blog, forum and facebook page but every now and then I need a change too.

    1. I think I went a little much on the pictures, though. I want a more simple look. I really like photos, so the simple look may not be possible!

  5. Hi Bama! Thanks for the sweet comments on Tickle's Adventures! :) You asked about my header. I made it using Picmonkey. It's a free editing program and so much fun to play around with. I made it with the "collage option." I use Picmonkey to add the watermarks to my photos and to sharpen them, too! I have used Ribbit.com also, it's free and has a lot of the same features. Your header and pics look great, though! :)
