Although It's October, We're experiencing Summer Weather Again!

And Boy is it hot! I am so disappointed that we are not having cooler weather, boo! Maybe after tropical storm Karen blows by, things will cool off a bit! How's the weather where you live?

It's Friday and pizza night! I am going to make it this time since the girls are here and pizza is so expensive around here! I'm thinking of using the King Arthur Flour Cookbook for the recipe. All I know is I got to get it going now! I haven't made pizza in a long time cause Skylar doesn't like it. Can you imagine not liking homemade pizza? Well, he's gonna eat it or be hungry!

I'm trying to take charge of my weight again! Not that I'm really fat, just a little pudgy here and there. I guess it's middle-age spread as they call it! I've really been intrigued by the Trim Healthy Mama plan. I am incorporating it into my diet as of today! I made some really good pumpkin pancakes for breakfast! I'm also looking at my Jackie Warner book again because it is so informative about health. It has such a great plan for taking charge of your eating and provides menus for people who cook and those who don't! It even has a lot of good recipes! I don't know why I wandered away from it but my clothes tell me to get back on it!

I made the pizza during this post and I am so glad I went with the King Arthur Cookbook! The crust is a little thick, so next time I'll make three crusts instead of two! Oh and it's not a Trim Healthy Mama friendly recipe! Skylar still doesn't like it but is eating it anyway! Boys! Just a little spoiled I think! Well, the pizza bell is about to ring so got to get it out of the oven! Have a great weekend! Hope yours is nice and cool! Blessings from Bama!

I love to watch babies learn new things! She's learning to pat-a-cake!

He thought he could out-run my camera!

Spending a little time on the swings!

Frittatas! A Taste of Home recipe that's also Trim Healthy Mama friendly! They taste really good!

Win playing in her kitchen.

She finally went to sleep!

They rode this today!

I love to see their faces when they go real fast down the hill!

The pizza dough I kneaded by hand. It was my first time to knead pizza dough without the help of the bread machine!

The dough after shaping.

Cheese pizza!

Weird color on this pizza which is Canadian bacon and pepperoni.

  1. Homade pizza is always best! I found a recipe that makes a few that you can freeze which makes it easier for me the day we have pizza. It was hot and humid today here. Suppose to cool off by Sunday. Weird weather! Have a good week-end. Nancy

    1. Oh I definitely think so! Just wished I could find all the different cheeses a local restaurant used to use! I would never find them in this area only at Whole Foods, I suppose! Wow! I thought ya'll were having cooler weather! Guess we're not the only ones experiencing summer again! Blessings!

  2. PIZZA! YUMMO! I really like the idea of scheduling particular meal to a certain day (Friday = Pizza night) and after reading your post to Glen, we agreed that we'll do the same thing! Sorry Skylar doesn't like pizza. Maybe he'd like different toppings? I just saw your new picture beside your comment and you look really, really good! Don't think you need to do any "trimming"!

Ran and the girls look like they're having so much fun! Your neices have a great time and Auntie's and Uncle's house! Hope you have a safe fall/winter! Hugs, Cheeryshirley

    1. We typically have had pizza on Friday for years! But we've been known to eat other things sometimes. Skylar likes pizza, just not my crust! Next time I'll try to make him a thin crust pizza. Oh, thank you Cheery Shirley! You didn't see the rest of me though! Yes, they love to spend time here! Hope ya'll's winter isn't too harsh! Blessings!

  3. The pizza looks good. Not liking pizza - is almost anit-American.. ha ha. Those girls sure are cute! We received 3" of rain on Saturday. Wet - windy. Most of our pretty leaves are gone with rain and wind. Geese flying South - should be by you soon. Blessings from Wisconsin.

    1. That's right! It's just my crust he doesn't like. Thanks Jacky! We finally got rain too, last night along with a little thunder. It just didn't last long enough! Have your leaves all changed now? Ours are just beginning to. Some flew right over our heads Saturday night! We've been watching them fly over for a couple of weeks now. Blessings!

  4. I think you look great too! Great photo of Skylar trying to get away. You got him focused perfectly! We love homemade pizza here too and I make more of a flatbread crust now. Yours looks like it turned out really really good. Weird weather here too. The past few days high @87, which is way too hot for me anymore. Today it's rainy, the remnants of Karen and we're 'supposed' to get the 'cold front' of highs in the mid-70s. It's nice to finally have a rainy day. Have a great week Felecia!

Oh you're getting the rain we had last night! It's supposed to only be in the seventies here today too! Thanks, you too!
